• The ruthless man who is known as the Devil of the Hidden Mist, Zabuza. Highly skilled in combat, Zabuza is the man who took care of Haku and raised him uptil now to be a weapon of mass destruction. Passing on everything he knows to this the young boy, he watched as the child's skills swiftly began to even grow above his own abilities. A dangerous and wanted criminal, Zabuza makes a living by getting hired by people to be an assassin.

• Although at first he appeared as an enemy to Naruto and Co. but in the end he proved to be an unexpectedly, loyal man. To himself, and to Haku.

• A long time ago, the Hidden Mist Village, or as many called it the Blood Mist Village, had a final graduation exam in order to become a ninja. It was fights to the death between students. Children who were once the best of friends, had the same dreams and goals faced one another in these bloodshed battles till only one of them was left standing. 10 years ago this exam was then forced to change due the evil which appeared the previous year. A young boy, who wasn't even a ninja, had come and without pause or hesitation, killed 100 of that year's exam students.
The young boy was Zabuza, who has received the title of the 'Devil' from this incident.

love

• To Haku, Zabuza is the most precious person to him and the person he truly loves more then anyone. Even in death he still tried to help him in anyway. Although it seems that Zabuza doesn't think of him anymore then a weapon, he eventually lets go of his strong face and just his tears can tell you that Haku was equally as precious to him. Someone he didn't want to lose. Though he rarely shows his true emotions in order for others to percieve him as strong fighter, you can see that he cared alot about the young child.
You can only see how much Haku meant to him only when death was closing in.
But it is happy to know that they were both able to reach paradise, together.

• Seemingly, so different, yet having much in common, both had bad childhoods. The two were able to share the same feelings, Haku looked up to him as someone who wanted his existence and Zabuza was able to see the child as someone he depended on.
